CityJam…finding the courage to take the next wise step
Commitment & Rules Policy – Do not return. Parents keep this page at home.

Registration Policy:

Our programs are free to all children. There are a limited number of slots for boys and girls. Any child registering after all the slots are filled will be added to a waiting list and will be contacted as slots open. All camper(s) must have a CityJam permission slip on file.

Commitment Policy:

If any child consistently misses program activities, as determined by The Luke Project staff, for any other reason than a serious medical issue, it will be assumed that he or she no longer intends to attend The Luke Project program(s). He or she must go through the registration procedure, including the waiting list if there is one, in order to reapply.

Discipline Policy:

Fighting, cursing, disrespect or similar behavior will result in disciplining action and/or suspension. We believe that there are times for loud and fun behavior as well as times for quiet and reserved behavior. We will do our best to provide opportunities for both throughout our programs, but children that act inappropriately will not be allowed to participate in certain activities or programs. Items stolen from your child by another child are not our responsibility. We are not the Police!

Van Policy:

Every child must wear a seat belt when traveling in van(s) or in the vehicle provided by a staff member or volunteer. Any behavior on the vehicle that endangers the driver or other passengers will result in immediate suspension. If your child refuses to board the vehicle, and it is deemed that he or she is endangering the other children the police may be called or the staff may be forced to load your child as required. If your child misses the van pick-up for any reason, we will not return to pick him or her up. If your child exits the vehicle without the driver’s permission we are not responsible for your child.

Permission Slip Policy:

The children will have the opportunity to earn field trips. When we take a field trip, each child must bring the official signed copy (by the parent) of the permission slip for that trip in order to attend. All camper(s) must have a CityJam permission slip on file.

Dress Code Policy:

Children must come dressed appropriately. Clothing that exposes the stomach or shoulders is not allowed, though some exceptions are made for sporting events. Shorts and skirts must come down at least as far as the child’s fingertips with their arms extended while standing. Pants must fit appropriately, and no underwear should be visible. Girls should wear one piece swim suits with a dark tee shirt and boys must waist their swim trunks.

Lost & Found Policy:

Each child is responsible for keeping up with their glasses, clothes, lunch boxes, books, etc. When found, these items will be placed in the lost and found basket for 5 days and then discarded or donated to charity. Do not bring toys, games, etc.

Photo Release Policy:

Each parent agrees that video, photographs, etc. taken of their child while participating in any program activity conducted by The Luke Project can be printed, reproduced, published, edited, and used for the benefit of The Luke Project or affiliates.

Parental Involvement Policy:

We will do our best to communicate to you the program schedule for CityJam. Each parent is responsible for contacting The Luke Project so that they are aware of the schedule of events for all activities. Please review your event calendar as required. The Luke Project – (678) 754-7700
The calendar may change as funding, weather, scheduling, staff, etc. dictate.

Church Attendance:

We desire for every child to attend a Bible believing church, and we welcome your questions about a nearby church at which your family can worship.

Minor Release & Emergency Medical Policy:

Each parent gives permission to The Luke Project, Inc. staff, volunteers, interns, and supporters to call 911 and/or seek medical attention for their child as events and conditions warrant. The parent is giving his/her authority and consent for medical and surgical treatment as may be needed in the judgement of the treating physician or other qualified medical personnel. This authorization covers major surgery when the medical opinions of two licensed physicians or dentists concurring in the necessity for such surgery are obtained prior to the performance of such surgery. The parent is releasing The Luke Project, Inc., its representatives, and any attending licensed physician from liability for any accident or injury during or resulting from their child’s participation in The Luke Project programs or activities or any medical procedure / treatment performed.
